Selling stolen horses can get you some serious money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, provided you know where to sell them. If you don't know where to do it, we got you covered.

Unlike the first game, where stolen horses were nothing more than a temporary ride, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the latest RPG from Warhorse Studios, lets you legitimately buy them, claim stolen ones as your own, or sell them for some profit—particularly useful if you want to earn a fair bit of groschen early in the game.

Stealing horses isn't as difficult as you might have thought; all you have to do is locate a horse you like, make sure there's no one around to see you stealing it, and ultimately hop on its back and ride away. Once you're far enough, you'll be safe to do with that stolen horse, whatever you like.

However, selling stolen horses isn't that easy because you'll only be able to do it in two different places in the game. If you're curious how and where to do it, read our guide and we will explain everything in detail.

How to sell stolen horses in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Every horse that has a name once you approach it will be available for stealing. As we've mentioned earlier, you'll have to be careful not to be seen, however, because it could ruin your reputation if you're seen stealing, and at the end of the day, theft is a crime, so be ready to suffer consequences.

Once you decide which horse you want to steal, the best strategy is to wait for the dark when everyone sleeps, approach a horse, and steal it, then automatically ride towards one of the merchants who are ready to buy a stolen horse off of you.

There are two such merchants in the game, one in each region. In the Trosky region, it is Mikolai. You can find this merchant in Nomads' Camp, west of Bozhena's cottage. In the Kuttenberg region, the merchant in question is Boyar Stoia of Mondra. To find him, head to the far west fast travel point in the city of Kuttenberg, then follow the road straight to a camp across from a roadside tavern.

Once you arrive at one of those merchants, talk to them and in the conversation, choose the ‘Horse Black Market’ option. Once you unlock it, you'll be able to sell your stolen horses to them. Keep in mind, however, that those merchants don't have an unlimited budget, and once you drain them of money, they won't be able to pay you for the horses.

Apart from selling them horses, you will be able to keep a stolen horse as well; all you'll have to do is choose a corresponding option in dialogue. Registering horses will require a significant amount of money, but luckily, the merchants will factor in your current horse's value during purchases.

However, upgrading from the second horse you get for free in the game to Veillantif, which is, by the way, one of the best horses available for purchase, cost me around 2K groschen, even though I stole it from the farm, so it's still very expensive, even when you steal.
