The newly released DLC for Elden Ring, called Shadow of the Erdtree, picks up exactly where the base game left off in terms of gameplay and excellent exploration. The DLC is, like the base game, full of different items and secrets waiting for you to discover them.
The first non-open in-game area you'll come across is Belurat Tower Settlement, and as soon as you access it, many locked doors will wait for you. If you want to satisfy your curiosity, you will be able to search for keys to unlock them.
Once you reach the second grace in this area, called Small Private Altar, you'll find a locked door, just past two magic-wielding enemies. If you don't know where the key that unlocks this door is, this guide has the answer you seek.
How to unlock the door near the Small Private Altar grace
Once you reach the grace, go up the stairs located to the north. Be careful, though, because on the top of the stairs awaits a very dangerous enemy who wields two swords. Defeat him and continue forward, passing several weaker enemies that will try to ambush you until you reach a waterfall.
To the right of the waterfall is a room with two enemies inside and a ladder in the middle of it. Kill the enemies and climb the ladder. In the next room, you'll notice an item just in front of you. This item is the storeroom key.
Now, with the key in your possession, either go back to the grace or fast-travel there. Take a path over the bridge, killing two magic-wielding enemies. The locked door is at the end of this path on the left side. Unlock the door and enter the room. Inside, you'll find an NPC that is not too fond of you.
You should ignore her until you kill this area's boss, the Divine Beast Dancing Lion. If you look to the left of her, you can see a miniature lion beast, indicating that she is somehow connected to it. Leave her be for now, and after killing the boss, return here. If you choose to kill her, she will drop two items: Scorpion Stew and Watchful Spirit, which is a spell that protected her.
