Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree - Ruined Forge of Starfall Past dungeon solution

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, there are several dungeons with special loot at the end of each one. In this guide, we will show you how to solve the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past dungeon.

Elden Ring has a lot of caves and special dungeons to explore, but the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC introduced a couple of new ones that don't end with boss fights but rather with finding some sort of furnace that you must extinguish in order to pick up its final loot.

Those dungeons are called Ruined Forges, and you'll come across several of them while exploring the vast Shadow Realm.

One of those forges is the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past, and it is located somewhere halfway between the Fort of Reprimand and Castle Ensis. If you have trouble solving puzzles inside this forge and cannot pick up the final loot, we've prepared a guide that will help you with this task.

As soon as you enter the forge, you should explore every area you can access, because you can find a lot of items and loot hidden around. But if you're aiming for the final price, jump down and climb the ladder you can see on the opposite wall. At the end of this path, there is a lever. Pull it and open the door to the next area.

Proceed down the hall and soon you'll meet new type of enemy—a huge giant carrying lava pot on his head. They are extremely slow, and you should avoid them because they are very hard to defeat and easy to avoid.

Continue down the hall and enter the next room with two more giants if you want—there's some interesting loot there. If you don't want to, there is a ladder on the right at the exact spot where the second fire slug dropped. Climb the ladder and continue getting passed one more giant and two slugs.

Enter the room behind the second slug, and you'll step on some sort of metal construction. Look to the right and you'll see a bridge and one more sitting giant, and to the left from where he sits is the next lever. Drop down, cross the bridge, lure giant to drop down, and activate the lever. This lever will open the next room that you can explore.

However, exploring this room won't bring you any closer to solving this mystery, so explore the next room if you want, but what you should do is open the passage to this room, then pull the lever again, and quickly jump down and step on the door. If you're fast enough, it will elevate you and open the next path to you, the one that leads to the furnace and the final loot—the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword and the Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
