Elden Ring's first DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, is better than the base game in so many aspects, with better and more challenging bosses, the new locations that are even more impressive than the ones from the Lands Between, and generally the atmosphere seems a bit darker and more intimidating than it was in the base game.
But new weapons are definitely something that will put the most smiles on fan's faces because Shadow of the Erdtree is full of them. From new types of weapons like heavy katanas, light longswords and many more to the existing types with improved designs and weapon arts that looks and feels even more amazing than before.
Given that many of the fans prefer to play using good old katana to feel like a true samurai, we found one that might satisfy the needs of all katana enthusiasts with amazing weapon arts that will buy you the first time you lay your eyes on it. This unique weapon is called the Star-Lined Sword, and here is how to find it and add it to your collection of weapons in Elden Ring.
How to get Star-Lined Sword in Shadow of the Erdtree
To get this special sword, you must travel to the southern part of the Shadow Realm, more specifically to the Cerulean Coast lost grace. Once you're on this grace, you'll see a vast plain full of blue flower and a dragon hanging out just in front of you. Do not go towards the dragon, but instead, hop on Torrent and ride to the right, hugging the right wall.
Soon, you'll reach a large stone with a waterfall behind it. Continue following this path, and soon you'll come to a beach with a lot of dark shadow enemies, and among those enemies, you'll see a large one. As soon as you approach it, the boss bar will appear, meaning you're about to fight an optional boss called Demi-Human Queen Marigga.
This boss is extremely weak and shouldn't be a problem to beat, especially because you can summon Mimic Tear or any other summon to this fight. Once you beat her, she will drop Star-Lined Sword as a loot. This sword is a regular katana, but what makes it special is the very good weapon arts that will make you cut through enemies like butter.
However, to use the full potential of this weapon, you must invest at least 21 points in your intelligence stats, but once you do that, press that L2/LT button and witness the true magic.
