NetherRealm revealed another brand new character that will join the Mortal Kombat franchise in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11. The new character is named Cetrion and she's an Elder Godess that can deal fire, water and earth damage.
Mortal Kombat 11 release date is inching closer with each day and that's why the developer NetherRealm are sharing a bunch of new details about the game, including brand new character reveals.
The latest fighter that will make its first-ever appearance in the Mortal Kombat franchise is named Cetrion, and she's been revealed in the latest trailer from Game Informer.
Cetrion is described as an Elder Goddess by NetherRealm, and judging by the trailer, her special moves and powers will be nature-related, including fire, earth, water and air attacks.
The trailer shows Cetrion summoning rocks from the ground that she then uses to slam her opponents, growing vines to, again, slam her opponent into the ground, teleporting using water skills and casting tornadoes among other abilities.
Her fatality move isn't as special as some other fatalities that we got to see from Johnny Cage or Scorpion for example, but it's quite decent and it shows Cetrion trapping her opponent in a pile of rocks, and then travelling to space from where she unleashes a deadly fire blow that cuts Jade into pieces.
Cetrion is the third brand new character that NetherRealm are introducing in Mortal Kombat 11. The developer earlier confirmed that Geras and Kronika will appear for the first time in the series.
The introduction of Cetrion means that Mortal Kombat 11's fighter roster now counts 22 characters along with Shang Tsung who is confirmed as first DLC character and Shao Khan who comes as a pre-order bonus.
Mortal Kombat 11 is hitting the shelves on 23 April 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch and for more news about NetherRealm's brutal fighter, check out the full list of leaked characters and read more on post-launch plans.
