We've always known that Fortnite: Battle Royale's video replay feature will be a content creator's wet dream but we haven't realised how far Epic plan to go in ensuring Fortnite becomes a gift that keeps on giving. Come in green screens.
Note that there's more than one green screen to be found in Fortnite's realm and by now, it's pretty certain Epic was planning this all along. To make matters sneakier, the company remained silent throughout and let users figure it out for themselves.
And figure it out they did. As you can see, creative possibilities of making content with Fortnite: Battle Royale's video editor have skyrocketed from already impressive to just mind boggling. I mean, we're literally looking at unrestricted creative possibilities offered to the general public by a game. A free to play game nevertheless.
Interestingly enough, each of the green screen rooms comes with its own flavour. As you can see, the room on the video below suggests an office setting, which means the Office is meeting Fortnite any day now. We will be keeping an eye out for other types, just in case we come across something interesting.
Fortnite: Battle Royale's success has really become a global phenomena and even Activision Blizzard spent much of their post-earnings investor call talking about Epic's battle royale champ. Apparently, the game's success and the green that comes with it prompted the company to consider their own entry in this market, be it Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 or Destiny 2.
Despite its plummeting fortunes, PUBG has been trying to keep up lately, most notably by trying out systems to ensure duplicate items can actually become useful, which should greatly help with the grind. Ironically, it comes on the same day when analysts revealed Fortnite's iOS version beat PUBG's combined iOS and Android revenue, significant portion of which has been attributed to loot box mechanics.
So far we're looking at pretty hilarious videos but we have a feeling we'll be seeing even more jaw dropping Fortnite Battle Royale content soon.
