Nintendo have shared a couple of instructional videos on their YouTube channel. The videos present and explain the possibilities of the upcoming Variety and Robot Nintendo Labo kits.

Need for Speed Payback is rolling out a free roam mode

Need for Speed Payback's new game mode named Alldrive will let people explore Fortune Valley and encounter up to 7 other players in the same session. This will allow for small scale car meets with your crew.

FEBRUARY 13

Rocket League about to get more competitive

For Rocket League, some game modes are made more equal than others - at least when it comes to the more competitive aspects of the game. A wave of updates for the game will aim to make modes outside the core Soccar more appealing to competitively minded players, eventually.

FEBRUARY 7

Switch surpasses Wii U's lifetime sales

Nintendo's latest console has now surpassed the Wii U in sales. The Switch has sold 14.86 million units until the end of December, 2017. This adds up to more consoles than Wii U managed to move during its entire lifespan.

JANUARY 31

Gran Turismo 6 servers will go dark in March

Sony announced that they'll be shutting down Gran Turismo 6's servers in March 2018. The distribution of downloadable content for the game will end on 31 January 2018. The offline portion of the game will remain available to players.

DECEMBER 28

Project Cars 2 - first DLC coming in winter

Bandai Namco announced the first expansion pack for Project Cars 2. The DLC will bring eight new cars and two new tracks. The Fun Pack will be available in winter for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

NOVEMBER 30

NFS games better than Payback

Need For Speed Payback is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game didn't do very well with the critics so I took it upon myself to bring you a list of other NFS games that did a bit better.

NOVEMBER 12

F1 2017 classic cars galore

F1 2017 will launch on 25 August. The new game will feature classic cars and an expanded career mode. Various customisation options will be available. Twelve classic cars will be at the player's disposal.

AUGUST 16

Rock of Ages 2: Bigger & Boulder release date

Rock of Ages 2: Bigger and Boulder will launch in two weeks. The sequel to Rock of Ages will come with an upgraded multiplayer feature. Xbox One players will have a 10 percent discount. PlayStation 4 and Steam users will be offered a special bundle.

AUGUST 15

Rocket League will now auto-ban you for bad language

Until now Psyonix has been addressing its Rocket League community etiquette issue with a mute and report system. That approach will now be supplemented by robots. Actually, it's just an auto-ban system based on certain words deemed inappropriate by the developers.

AUGUST 3

Need For Speed Payback customisation showcase

Need For Speed Payback will have somewhat deeper customisation options than the last few series entries, at least according to the latest trailer. The arcade racing juggernaut is scheduled for a 10 November 2017 release.

JULY 27

Project Cars 2 - a redesigned career mode

Career mode and a bunch of other features from the priginal Project Cars are making a comeback in the sequel. Project Cars 2 will have a new mechanic in the form of the Manufacturer Drives. Project Cars 2 will launch on 22 September.

JULY 21

Project Cars 2 - 60 new tracks

Bandai Namco released the list of the 60 tracks that will be available in their new Project Cars 2. Each track will have at least one layout. The game will be out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 22 September.

JULY 11

SpeedRunners is now available on PlayStation 4

After launching on Xbox One early last month, SpeedRunners is now also available on PlayStation 4. The indie Steam hit took 4 years to get there, but it is now playable on most current generation gaming devices you can plug a joypad into. Except for the Nintendo Swtich.
