Codemasters & Koch Media have released a takedown focused gameplay trailer for their upcoming high octane, paint trading racer game ONRUSH. The game is going to be simultaneously released on PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox One on 05 June 2018.

ONRUSH's trailer above showcases how players can smash each other's vehicles during a race, and the effects of teamwork in team focused races. These team races will be basically 6v6 road combat where Codemasters have said that "team play is essential if you want to come out on top". Team communication will also play an important role, in order to call out priority takedown targets, as well as defend teammate who are target for elimination by the opposing team.

Different vehicles will have their strengths and weaknesses, with certain styles that are better suited for specific roles. There are total of eight vehicle classes in ONRUSH, where larger vehicles such as the Titan and Enforcer will be better suited for taking enemies while being firmly on the ground. Bikes on the other hand, such as the Outlaw class, will have the "Slam" ability that will alow them to "perform insane takedowns from above".

According to Codemasters, takedowns are core to the ONRUSH experience, while Stampede will apparently "ensure that you are always in the thick of the action". This mode is reminiscent of the deathmatch and team deathmatch modes in shooter games, as it will throw you right back into the crowd at full speed, just after being taken down.

Pre-orders for the game are available at the moment, and the bait for the pre-order hook is a skin for buggies named "Vortex" that will apparently make players "stand out" in the Stampede mode. Deluxe edition will give players eight additional vehicle designs, extra Crashtag artwork and Track Tombstones.

Considering the game is going to be released at almost the same time as another high octane racer, Antigraviator, it may be worthwhile to check the price tags and reviews of both games before making a decision which one to go for first.
