In addition to bringing a whole new story, Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty also includes a ton of improvements that are currently not in the base game.

One of the most exciting video game releases this year is the story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 called Phantom Liberty, which just had a big gameplay showcase at the Xbox event. The developer CD Projekt Red introduced us to new locations, characters and weapons that we'll get to see once this expansion arrives soon.

Phantom Liberty won't only bring new content though, as CD Projekt Red say that they've made many gameplay improvements that will completely change the way the base game works. These improvements include new enemy and friendly AI, reworked perks and skills, a new police system and other countless changes.

The changes are so vast that some CD Projekt Red developers even commented that they wish this was the game they shipped back in 2020. And since the update is quite overwhelming, we've made a neat list of all confirmed gameplay improvements that will be coming to Cyberpunk 2077 with the Phantom Liberty expansion. Check it out below.

As you can see, that's a lot improvements that the Cyberpunk 2077 community was eager to see in the game. So, if you haven't played Cyberpunk 2077 at all, you might want to wait for Phantom Liberty and all these improvements to experience the game as it should be played.

And we agree with CD Projekt Red devs that it would certainly be amazing if Cyberpunk 2077 launched with all these features in the first place. But better late than never!

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty officially launches on September 26, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
