It looks like Xbox will have a major presence at the upcoming The Game Awards 2023 show, which airs on December 8, 2023. The official Xbox newsletter, which is sent out every week to Xbox subscribers, invites players to tune in to The Game Awards to not miss big announcements.
"Celebrate the best games of the year and the big winners live at The Game Awards on7. December at 19:30 ET / 4:30PM PT / 12:30A+1GMT along with important announcements and other Xbox news that you don't want to miss!," it's stated in the newsletter.
Obviously, the newsletter does not mention what specific games Xbox will show at The Game Awards as that would ruin the surprise. However, if we had to guess, we'd say a new Perfect Dark trailer could be show along with a massive announcement of Gears 6. That's just our wild expectations taking the better of us.
Xbox had some pretty big announcements at The Game Awards previously. You'll probably recall that they announced the Xbox Series X console at the show and games like Hellblade 2 and Perfect Dark.
They did leave the fans disappointed last year though, when they did not have anything to show. This could be a reason to go big this year so make sure to definitely tune in if you're a fan of Xbox games.
Additionally, Xbox will have more shows in 2024 with the big summer one probably being scheduled for June. Potentially, we could also get one or two Developer Directs for their upcoming 2024 titles like Towerborne, Avowed and Hellblade 2.
