Xbox are developing a new Elite Series controller that could launch simultaneously with a major game in 2023.
We might be getting a brand new Xbox Elite controller if the recent rumours and leaks and legit. Apparently, Xbox are working on an Elite V3 controller, which is set to launch sometime in 2023, alongside a major release.
Though, Corden believes that a new Elite controller could even launch before the rumoured 2023 release date.
So, if this is indeed true and Xbox have a brand new Elite controller in the works and ready to be released in the coming months, it's possible that the reveal could be happening at a big Xbox event, which has been rumoured to be coming later this year. Xbox might even shadow drop the new Elite, who knows?

As for the controller itself and the new features that Xbox could implement, we expect to see something similar to DualSense's haptics and adaptive triggers. Xbox previously asked players if they would love to see similar features on an Xbox controller so it's entirely possible they've spent some resources towards building such additions.
On top of this, players would certainly appreciate better build quality since Elite V2 is not really known as a premium product, even if the price suggests otherwise.
Back in 2019, Elite V2 was released with a wide variety of improvements over the original so we look forward to seeing what Xbox engineers have in store in terms of new features and improvements for the third iteration of the popular controller.
