Trials of Osiris and Xur will have to wait a few hours longer as Destiny 2 is under maintenance. After it's up, the game will have a ceremony and some new assets.
Xur and Trials should have arrived to Destiny 2 on May 7, 2021, at 5:00 PM UTC, but that is not the case because the game underwent maintenance with all servers being down for the larger portion of the update. The servers are planned to return at 2:00 PM PDT / 9:00 PM UTC / 11:00 PM CEST while the rest of the maintenance is meant to conclude in the background, up to one hour later.
Server downtime and maintenance are caused by two things - Guardian Games winner ceremony and the intro to Season of the Splicer, both of which should be added with the patch.
In the case of Guardian Games, the Hunters have won this year's edition of bounty simulator while Warlocks came in second. Titans, the last year's winning class, ended up third.
As for the Season of the Splicer intro, some have alleged that the ceremony will lead into the tie-in, meaning we are probably in for another in-game observation event that will go on for hours, much like when Rasputin shot down Red Legion's planet destroyer or when the Traveller put itself back together.
We will also update you on Xur's offerings and location this week, as soon as possible.
