Everstone Studio and NetEase have released the January 2026 content roadmap for Where Winds Meet. This detailed schedule provides players with a week-by-week breakdown of the upcoming content for the game after the release of Version 1.2.
Organised around a week-by-week release schedule, the roadmap focuses on a regular stream of narrative content, gameplay systems, competitive elements, and limited-time events to maintain progression throughout the month.
The roadmap arrives alongside the launch of Version 1.2 on January 8, 2026, which acts as the baseline for most of the additional content for the month.
Solo challenges and new story content in Week 1
Week 1 of January will feature new progression activities for solo players. The difficulty cap for Solo Mode will increase with Solo Mode Lv.10 Unbound on January 4. Sorrow of Mortalbound is also a new chapter in Hero’s Realm this week for more narrative combat and story progression.
Version 1.2 launches with major systems in Week 2
The most substantial update arrives on January 8 with Version 1.2. This update introduces:
- The Kaifeng Campaign
- Legacy Quests tied to the main storyline
- A new World Boss encounter, the Nameless General
- The Jianghu Martial Games event
Week 3 expands exploration and guild competition
Week 3 starts with mid-month content on January 15: Puzzle Cave Mistveil Prison. This update adds a new type of challenging content in which players are tasked to solve environmental puzzles.
Guild Battle Preseason launches on January 16, introducing organised, guild based competition into the game. January 22 sees the Nine Mortal Ways Base region open up for exploration as a part of Version 1.2’s central story push.
Story and seasonal events close out the month
