The world of Where Winds Meet is about to grow dramatically larger. Ahead of the Hexi expansion's global launch on March 6 (UTC), the development team has announced a dedicated preview livestream to give fans an early look at what's coming.

A faster rollout than China’s original schedule
Starting March 6, the Hexi expansion will transport Wanderers back in time to witness legendary heroes and pivotal historical myths - what the team describes as a ''unique, dreamlike journey.'' It marks a major content milestone for the game, introducing three expansive new maps, nearly twenty distinct regions, and eleven formidable new bosses.
The three regions roll out as follows: Jade Gate Pass in March, Liangzhou in April, and Qinchuan in May.
In China (CN), Hexi content followed a longer cadence:
- Jade Gate Pass (Version 1.7) released approximately three months after the game’s launch (late March).
- Liangzhou (Version 1.9) arrived two months after Jade Gate Pass (mid-May).
- Qinchuan (Version 1.9) launched roughly three months after Liangzhou (late August).
Global players, by contrast, will receive each new map on a compressed 28-day cycle, placing them on a speedier timeline.
Creators join the showcase
The Hexi preview livestream will also feature special guest appearances. During the game's global release livestream, content creator The Lazy Peon appeared as a featured guest.
For the Hexi showcase, fans can expect appearances from other Where Winds Meet creators, including BlueSquadron, Just Memplex and The Act Man, teased via the game’s official X account.
All eyes turn to March 6 when the Wanderers will step into Hexi for the first time.
