Where Winds Meet is a game of many mechanics, and even if you try very hard, it is unlikely you'll find a more versatile game in terms of activities than this MMO action RPG from NetEase Games.
In the vast sea of many things you'll be able to do in this game, impersonating someone's looks might be the least expected one, but even in this regard, Where Winds Meet managed to surprise us. Here, you'll be able to look exactly like some random dude on the street; all you'll need to do is find the right person to make it possible.
How to use disguises
For this to happen, you'll need to wait to visit the game's second area, Kaifeng, and find an NPC called Wuyan; this lady will offer her trade to you, where you'll get the opportunity to learn the requirements of doing disguises in Where Winds Meet.
Once you find yourself inside the city of Kaifeng, open the map and locate the area called Fairgrounds (the southeastern part of the city map). Look for the travelling stone marked as East Cross Street. Next to this teleport stone is Wuyan, and once you talk to her, she will teach you how to disguise yourself as anyone in this game.
How does the disguising work?
Some missions will require you to fool the others to pass some checkpoints or impersonate someone's looks, and this is where this mechanic comes forth. First, you'll need to find the person you want to disguise yourself as and take a portrait of them. This is as easy as finding the perfect angle and pressing the prompted button.
Once you have the portrait, go to Wuyan and ask her to do the magic. Once she's done, you'll take the appearance of the person from the portrait, and for the given time, you'll be able to pass as that person, as long as your disguise holds (you'll see a small icon above your health bar telling you how long you can maintain the disguise).
Is Wuyan the only person who can help you use disguises?
As a matter of fact, the hero will ask her that very question during the first session, and she will answer that she actually isn't, but she would love it if you remained loyal to her and all your disguise business remained between you and her.
The other place where you can take a new face temporarily is the Ghost Market, which can even be accessed from the Qinghe region if you do the Bounty Trouble quest. This quest will transfer you to the Ghost Market, which is located beneath Kaifeng.
