Vampire: The Masquerade is one of the games with a very rich and beloved legacy, and Sharkmob now announced that battle royale lovers will get to experience this for themselves.
Now, if you're not a big fan of battle royale, we get it, but don't tell me that the idea of Vampire: The Masquerade in battle royale form doesn't tickle your imagination. Sucking blood? Vampiring your way around a dark city? C'mon, there's no way that doesn't strike a chord.
"Choose your playstyle, go solo or together, battling rivals and the hostile Entity who’s hellbent on exterminating all vampires. Use your supernatural powers, weapons and blood to become stronger in order to hunt, fight and survive the night. Choose your playstyle, go solo or together, battling rivals and the hostile Entity who’s hellbent on exterminating all vampires", the dev wrote.
It goes without saying that the game takes place in the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade universe, which means you, your friends and your opponents will be prancing around the streets and rooftops of Prague. The setting alone is enough to pique our curiosity, as it is pretty iconic for anyone who's ever laid their eyes on the game.
We're not yet sure whether "go solo or together" means that Vampire: The Masquerade battle royale will solely be focused on Solos and Duos, or Sharkmob were referring to team play by the latter. Either way, we should find out soon enough.
Sharkmob also announced they're working on two other, "highly ambitious, AAA quality projects", one by their Swedish team in Malmo, the other by Londoners. Both are powered by Unreal Engine and both are "action-packed, online, social experiences".
