The ability-based Team Deathmatch mode in Valorant is scheduled to be released simultaneously with Episode 7 Act 3, which is slated to launch on June 27, 2023.
Riot Games recently unveiled the global beta release of Premier mode, catering to the passionate and dedicated competitive fanbase of Valorant. Prior to that, they introduced Swiftplay as a condensed version of Unrated mode.
Now, the developers have exciting plans to introduce a Team Deathmatch (TDM) mode in the near future. However, unlike the existing free-for-all mode, the TDM variant in Valorant will feature additional elements to enhance the gameplay experience.
While Competitive or Ranked mode remains highly favored among players in Valorant, not everyone desires to constantly engage in the competitive grind every Act. Furthermore, repeatedly playing a single game mode can potentially lead to a sense of monotony, diminishing the overall excitement of the Valorant experience.
During the recent What's Next in 2023 // Dev Diaries video, Andy Ho, the game director of Valorant, shed some light on the upcoming game mode, without explicitly mentioning its name. According to ValorLeaks, a reputable data miner in the community, the mode is referred to as HURM.
Andy Ho described HURM as a fast-paced mode that will incorporate tactical gunplay utilizing the game's diverse arsenal of weapons, along with the inclusion of Agents and their unique abilities. Additionally, this mode will introduce new maps specifically designed for HURM, deviating from the standard community custom maps.
HURM in VAalorant will serve as the game's interpretation of the Team Deathmatch mode. Notably, it stands apart from the existing free-for-all and other modes by featuring dedicated custom maps, injecting a refreshing element into the gameplay experience.
