TT Games has revealed the exact release schedule for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight in preparation for its launch later this week. Owners of the game’s Deluxe Edition will be able to play earlier than everyone else, but time of release will vary by platform and region.
PC players who own the Deluxe Edition will unlock early access to LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight starting May 19 at 10 AM PT. PC players with the Standard Edition will be able to play starting May 22 at 10 AM PT.
Console players on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, however, will have a rolling midnight launch.Essentially, console players will be able to play the game when it launches at midnight local time where they live.
For some regions in the United States, the embargoed release time gets a bit more murky. As displayed on the official release day map, Deluxe Edition players in Los Angeles, Honolulu, Denver, and Chicago will technically be able to access the game on May 18 depending on where their time falls.
Standard Edition players will also be affected by this and may be able to play a day early on May 21 despite the set May 22 release date.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight promises to be one of TT Games’ largest superhero titles to date. Packaged with content referencing several Batman films, television series, and comic arcs, the newest LEGO title handleans players into a completely new story.
Recent trailers have featured a handful of Batman movie references so far, highlighting scenes from Tim Burton’s Batman, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman Forever, and Batman Beyond.
The Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman also nets players bonus post-launch content, exclusive cosmetic packs, as well as access to Mayhem Mode. In Mayhem missions, which launch later this year, players will take control of Joker, Harley Quinn, and others.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC later this week.
