Bungie revealed that the Trials of Osiris, running from November 12 to 16, 2021, will once again feature Capture Zone, albeit with improvements upon the first iteration.
Capture Zone in Trials of Osiris was a mixed bag the first time it came to Destiny 2 , with the players being happy that an objective would shake up the way matches play out but it also left them frustrated because the objective's position would often give one team a massive advantage.
On November 12, 2021, the game mode returns to Trials but with altered mechanics in order to make it more enjoyable. For starters, the zone that needs capturing is going to spawn 30 seconds after the round starts and its locations will be different this time around.
The map that the games will be played on is Endless Vale and the zone spawn points will rotate between Temple, Mid and the Shrine, giving both teams a fair chance to win it, instead of favouring one over the other. The zone will always spawn in the middle first and then rotate between the three locations.
At the start of each round, both teams will be able to see where the zone will spawn and the timer that will show them how long is left before it does. Capturing the zone will no longer grant Super energy, regardless of whether it happened before or after the round ended, preventing Super energy snowballing in the process.
As for the matchmaking, it will be card-based all weekend long and the Flawless Pool will be turned on on Sunday, giving the players who didn't reach the Lighthouse a chance to do so before the weekly reset.

Bungie is also looking at increasing the rewards for those who end up in the Flawless pool but it will happen at a later point in time, with more information arriving in December.
