Golf lovers are getting a proper treat from HB Studios and 2K Games, whose golf simulation The Golf Club 2019 is free for a limited time on Xbox and Steam.
As it often goes with these offers, we're talking about a free week of The Golf Club 2019 after which you can decide whether to buy it or not.
Should you choose to get it, the progress you made in The Golf Club 2019 will carry over to the full game. Xbox One players have until 13 May at 11:59 PM while PC players can get it from Steam by 9:59 AM PT on 14 May 2020.
The Golf Club 2019 is said to come with a bunch of improvements over its predecessors, with the dev rebuilding the Career mode, adding sponsors and other sorts of rewards and incentives.
Mind you, if you're looking for an arcade golf experience, you're better off looking elsewhere because The Golf Club 2019's mechanics can be quite unforgiving at times.
If you do like a challenge, though, you'll find that the game is a blast and it will certainly come in handy in times of social isolation.
"Play on famous courses like TPC Boston, TPC Sawgrass and more. Show off your skills as you take part in PGA TOUR events such as the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, the John Deere Classic and the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Take on Career Rivals throughout the season for that extra challenge and promise of reward."
Even though the times are not great, what with the COVID-19 pandemic driving everyone inside, the gaming industry has proven to be an invaluable tool to incentivise people to do so. Clearly the free games aren't lacking, and who are we to protest.
