Tencent's extraction shooter Arena Breakout: Infinite, which garnered over 100,000 wishlists on Steam so far, is heading towards its first closed beta test in less than two weeks from now.
The official beta start date has been set for May 8, 2024, and players can register now on the game's official website. The dev team were pretty clear that the beta will be limited so make sure to sign up as soon as possible if this one looks like your cup of tea.
In terms of content that will be present in the beta, the dev team stated that two maps - Farm and Valley - will be available. Players will get to search for loot, battle against other players and AI and extract their loot in typical extraction shooter fashion.
The beta will be available only on PC as the game is only confirmed to be launching on this platform. The console version is yet to be announced.
In case you are not familiar with Arena Breakout: Infinite, the game is a PC version of the popular mobile title called Arena Breakout which launched on Android and iOS last year.
Obviously, the PC version will bring many improvements like better visuals, easier controls and additional features that are not possible on mobile.
Here's the official description of Arena Breakout: Infinite from the devs:
"In Arena Breakout: Infinite, enter the Dark Zone and become the deadliest soldier of fortune known to man. As a highly skilled military operative, journey into the war-torn Kamona region where high-stakes equal high rewards.
Join a fair and competitive community to shoot, loot, and raid your path to fortune. Pull the trigger, take cover, and move ahead. With jaw-dropping visuals and true-to-life audio, push through tough battles where the stakes are high and the rewards even higher. Get in, get rich, and get out… but be prepared to fight for survival."
