Kitty platformer Stray has been rated for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles, which means its release on Microsoft's platform is just around the corner.

After one year of PlayStation 5 console exclusivity, BlueTwelve Studios' kitten adventure Stray is officially coming to the Xbox consoles. The game has been officially rated by Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Whenever an official rating pops up on the ESRB website, this usually means that the game is close to launch. Given that Stray launched in July 2023 for PC and PlayStation 5, it's safe to assume that the game will release on Xbox consoles this summer, once the one-year of exclusivity deal with Sony expires.

The official announcement of the Xbox port should be imminent too, so keep an eye on Annapurna Interactive's social media channels over the next couple of days.

In case you are not familiar with Stray, it's a unique action-adventure platformer where players are put in the paws of a cat lost in a futuristic city. You'll wander through the dark corners and alleys, searching for your lost family while avoiding the dangers that lurk in the shadows.

Stray won several awards at The Game Awards, including Best Indie and Best Debut Indie so it's definitely a game that you should keep an eye on if action adventures and platformers are your thing.

Stray is a stunning little platformer and soon, it will be available to Xbox players too

Our take: All in all, it's always nice when these exclusivity deals expire so everyone gets to play the game regardless of their preferred platforms. If you ask us, such deals are quite lame in the first place but everyone is doing it, including Xbox. Guess it's something that won't be going away anytime soon in the gaming industry.
