Bethesda have officially launched a support page for their highly-anticipated platform Starfield, reiterating the previously announced release date.
Bethesda's space exploration RPG Starfield is officially coming in the first half of 2023, according to the game's support page that went live today.
The page includes some frequently asked questions about Starfield such as when is the game releasing to which, Bethesda provides the following answer: "Starfield arrives exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC in the first half of 2023."
Starfield is supposed to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, Xbox exclusives of the last decade. It's set to kick off a new era of Xbox and a steady output of high-quality AAA exclusives, something that Microsoft have been lacking in 2022.
Some rumours have surfaced recently stating that the game may not launch until November 2023 but it seems that one had been debunked now that Bethesda have pretty much reiterated the first half of 2023 release.
Though, it has to be said that Todd Howard said even before the delay that the release date was "in ink, not pencil" , reassuring fans that there won't be any delays only to delay the game a couple of months later.
Of course, there's nothing wrong in delaying games, especially such big releases as Starfield, so Bethesda devs should definitely take their time to deliver optimised and polished sci-fi RPG.
Starfield release date announcement
Starfield's release date could be officially unveiled at the rumoured Xbox Q1 2023 event, where the company reportedly plan to show more of their 2023 lineup which also includes titles like Forza Motorsport , Redfall and Minecraft Dungeons.
Starfield is coming exclusively to Xbox Series X|S and PC via Game Pass.
