Bethesda's Todd Howard has reassured fans that Starfield's release date won't be delayed.
Starfield is probably one of the most anticipated games of the last several years with massive amounts of hype surrounding every new piece of information and footage.
As always with highly-anticipated games and massive, ambitious projects, chances are that, due to the scope, delays become inevitable.
This happened with Cyberpunk 2077 so players obviously fear that Starfield may not hit its November 2022 release date.
However, it seems that Bethesda are very confident that Starfield will hit the already mentioned release date, even though, there's still plenty of work to be done on the game.
Speaking to IGN in the latest interview, Bethesda's Todd Howard said that Starfield's release date is "in ink, not pencil". Such a statement certainly oozes with confidence.
Howard also added that they can never be 100 per cent sure about the date but it looks like the game is well on track to be launched in late 2022.
This, of course, will come as massive news to Starfield fans who are eagerly awaiting to play Bethesda's first new IP in more than 25 years.
We expect to see more of Starfield next year. Xbox's E3 show will probably be the place for the big gameplay reveal.
Starfield is set to launch on November 11, 2022, for PC and Xbox Series X|S via Xbox Game Pass.
