Solasta: Crown of the Magister is getting richer in content soon as the developers are going to release the monk class along with the warlock and bard classes, as well as the Dragonborn ancestry.
Monks are meant to be on the front line but they are squishier than the likes of fighters or clerics so you will need to be careful with them. What monks lack in armour, they make up for with speed that allows them to quickly get in and out of combat.
As long as they don't use actual armour, monks can add their Wisdom modifier to their armour class (AC). Additionally, fighting unarmed lets monks use Dexterity instead of Strength to calculate the damage rolls. If they fight unarmed, they also have a scaling damage bonus.
At level two, monks become the fastest-moving class in the game and the passive gets improved at level 10. On top of that, Ki points get unlocked at the same time, allowing the monk to use their special powers.
Another showcase of these martial artists' speed and agility is the power to use the reaction to avoid missile damage and if it gets reduced to zero, the monk can throw the projectile back to its sender.
At level five, the monks can use a Ki point to give their attack a chance. WIth four attacks available, the chance of stunning the target grows quickly so you might want to invest in a martial artist.
These are the highlights but there is much more to the monks and you can read about it on the official reveal page.
