Ever since the release of the Brimstone Sands update, New World has been having issues with massive queues during prime time where the players often wait for hours on end just to get in and enjoy the game.
While there are less-populated servers, the queues on the biggest ones didn't drop for some reason but Amazon Game Studios are not giving up on their attempts to move the populations around.
If you take a look at the world list in the character selection screen, you will notice that each region now has more unlocked servers than it had just a few days ago.
Anyone can transfer to these newly unlocked servers but it remains to be seen if people will be inclined to do so. After all, abandoning one's company and possible acquaintances is not something players will immediately want to do.
On the other hand, it is quite possible that transferring to slightly less populated servers will significantly reduce the queue time on the most populated servers which will be a win-win for both the players that transfer and those who remain on the bigger servers.
All that said, the players have options, which is better than being forced to wait in a queue and it's highly likely you have transfer tokens available as AGS handed them out free of charge on multiple occasions.
