Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released in the physical format it's been confirmed by a company specialising in physical video game releases Meridiem Games.
Additionally, the reimagining of the classic horror title that is currently in development by Polish studio Bloober and Konami can now be pre-ordered in physical format across various vendors.
Other details have not been revealed just yet so we don't really know if the physical release will include some extra stuff but judging by Meridiem Games' previous work, we would not be surprised if they throw in a thing or two.
Silent Hill 2 Remake still does not have a specific release date but it is coming sometime in 2024. If you're really keen on owning the disc version of the game, we suggest you at least wait for the release date announcement before pre-ordering this one.
So far, the game is only confirmed to be launching on PlayStation 5 and PC. The Xbox version officially does not exist and chances that Silent Hill 2 Remake comes to Microsoft's platform seem slim at the moment.
However, it would not be the first time that games get announced exclusively for one platform only to release on other after a year or so. Some of the most recent examples include Deathloop, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Stray.
In case you are not familiar with Silent Hill 2 Remake, it's pretty much built from the ground up with modern visual and gameplay features, and music by Akira Yamaoka.
It will still follow the original haunting story of James Sunderland who receives a letter from his dead wife, claiming that she is in Silent Hill. But once Sunderland arrives to Silent Hill, nothing is like it seems as he gets trapped in a nightmare with roaming monsters.
