Destiny 2 is going through some rough times with the community disillusioned about the lack of new content but if the rumours about the next big expansion, apparently named Collapse, turn out to be true, we are all in for a Forsaken-like treat.

Fans of Destiny 2 are suspecting there is only a skeleton crew working on maintaining the game due to lack of genuinely new content and radio silence from Bungie. With that in mind, many suspect that a big new content drop in the form of an expansion or sequel is around the corner and some of the latest leaks point to that.

Some of the supposed leaks already point to an old enemy returning later in the Season of the Worthy while the newer batch focuses on the next big expansion, apparently called Collapse. If you are uncomfortable with potential spoilers, we would advise not reading further.

Just like with the first Collapse, the main baddie here will be the Darkness, the return of which was hinted by the lore entries from Trials of Osiris and other pointers. It will apparently take the form of a ghostly woman and be called Winnower.

According to the leak, two new destinations will be unlocked - Europa and Finality. The latter is supposedly a giant city inside the Darkness' core pyramid. Two new strikes will come with the new locations, along with one raid that will pit us against the Winnower.

A new race of enemies will be introduced, called the Veil. These have been teased a long time ago with concept art but never made it into the game yet. They are said to be as powerful as the Guardians themselves.

The leak alleges that the new expansion will unveiled in June 2020 and will bridge the story into Destiny 3.

Keep in mind that the info comes from 4chan and can therefore be considered a rumour at best. The actual reason why we reported on anything from there is that a lot of it aligns with the information available in Destiny 2 and through the findings within the community so it looks plausible enough.
