Rumours about the next Assassin's Creed heated up a few days ago when it was suggested that an announcement is coming from Ubisoft soon, although there is no exact date on when we might see it.
However, a different leak appeared on Amazon that suggests we will see the next game in the franchise in Autumn 2020. The leak itself does not directly reference the game and is instead pertaining to Assassin's Creed: Valhalla novel which is supposed to come out during the said time window.
Valhalla listing on the German division of Amazon included several noteworthy keywords, including "2020", "Ragnarok", "Valhalla" and most importantly - "Herbst 2020". That last one translates to "Autumn 2020", strongly hinting this is when the book is going to come out.
French YouTuber j0nathan, who relayed the leak also noted that both Origins and Odyssey novels came out roughly one month before the respective games, meaning this could be a strong indicator that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla will be released during the same time period.
Ragnarok possibly refers to a part of the game since it is already known that this will not be the name of the next Assassin's Creed.
Autumn will start on 22 September and last until 21 December 2020, in case you needed the reference. Since the release is close to that of next-gen consoles, we are most likely in for Valhalla on both generations. Not much was leaked besides the release window and the instalment name, meaning Ubisoft will not suffer much from the leak. If anything, this could boost the hype.
