Bungie folks are changing the way Ritual weapons will be earned in Season 15 of Destiny 2 and they will no longer have dedicated quests.
Ritual weapons are among the most useful tools in Destiny 2 and each Guardian is hoping to get them when a new one debuts. So far, they had quests you would need to finish by getting kills in various manners but this will be changed in Season 15.
When it kicks off on August 24, 2021, the Ritual weapons will instead be earned through reputation tracks. These will be reworked to different degrees, depending on the associated activity - Zavala will be reworked the same way Drifter and Shaxx were previously while the latter two will give up their Infamy and Valor ranks .
Anyway, the changes to the reputation and vendor system in S15 will also accompass the way you obtain Ritual weapons. They will no longer be gained through associated quests but rather through reputation reward tracks. Increasing reputation during a Season will provide progress towards unlocking a weapon and its ornaments and going into the next season, this progress may or may not be reset - Bungie didn't elaborate on that.
Furthermore, reputation tracks will get rid of some of the annoying Seasonal Challenges from before so you won't have to grind out Infamy for the rewards.
