For comparison, the series' launch numbers have been steadily increasing since the release of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard, which had a peak of only 20,449 players at launch. Resident Evil 4 Remake is available for PlayStation 4 , PlayStation 5 , Xbox Series X|S , and PC . A playable Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw demo is also available for download, allowing users to test out the Village combat sequence for free.
