PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has wrapped up its fourth season today and it's gearing up for the Season 05 which is set to introduce Miramar rework, new Survivor Pass and more.
PUBG Corp. confirmed that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Season 04 has officially come to an end on consoles. This means that Season 4 experience points and levelling up to 100 and all of the Survivor Pass achievements are finished but you can still get survivor points. The survivor points will probably be available until the Season 05 officially arrives but PUBG Corp. did not mention if this is indeed the case.
As for the release date of the upcoming, fifth season, it arrives PC players on Wednesday, 23 October 2019 but you can play it right now on the game's test server since the update already launched there a couple of days ago. On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Season 05 officially drops on Tuesday, 29 October 2019.
Season 05 will introduce a ton of new content and PUBG Corp. have detailed all the changes in their recent blog post. One of the biggest additions is the Miramar map rework. The desert map will now feature a race track and you can also find newly added objects like ramps, loops, jumps and signboards across the map. Gold Mirado has also been added and it can be only found parked at the garage in Hacienda del Patron. Some minor objects like trash in and around buildings have been removed to reduce clutter and make movement easier for players.
Traditionally, the new season also means new Survivor Pass and Season 05 will continue the tradition. Named Badlands, the new pass will bring Miramar-themed missions so you can unlock a huge variety of new rewards which include clothing items, weapon skins, emotes and more.
