On to the next one! Virtus.pro team was just announced as the winner of the PUBG Continental Series 5, Europe Grand finals.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have the winners of this year's PCS5 Europe Grand Finals. Krafton recently revealed that the coveted title went to Virtus.pro. The team secured their victory (and a share of the prize pool) on October 3, 2021. The Europe East roster - made up of players Dmytro ‘Perfect1ks’ Dubenyuk, Yaroslav ‘spyrro’ Kuvichko, Kirill ‘Lu’ Lukyanov and Alexander ‘BatulinS’ Batulin walked away with $52,000 (from the $250,000+ prize pool).

The already massive prize pool will also be bolstered by a portion of the Pick'Em Challenge revenue. No less than 30 per cent of net sales from global in-game items are being distributed amongst Europe, the Americas, Asia and APAC and will be added to the prize funds.

Virtus.pro brought their A-game to every match-up they played through the competition, and also won PCS4 Europe back in June. They called the top of the leaderboard on both the first and third weekends of action which ultimately ensured they were crowned champions.

In comparison, FaZe Clan had a slower start to the season but the team's experience carried them to second place and a $28,500 reward. Question Mark claimed third place and $26,500.

Natus Vincere’s xmpl, FaZe Clan’s Fexx and Team Liquid’s mxey were the tournament’s most prolific players, finishing with 54 kills each - xmpl was awarded Kill Leader due to having the highest total damage of the three players. The other special awards were as follows:

  • PCS5 MVP: xmpl
  • All PCS Team: xmpl, Gustav, Perfect1ks and mxey
  • Insane Squad: Virtus.pro
