In spite of PUBG Corp recently starting their Fix PUBG campaign, which couldn't be more ridiculous if it tried, there's been surprisingly little progress and the latest developments oh so painfully show it. We will get skins though.

It's always the skins, isn't it? In fact, I've grown to associate most of my PUBG troubles with skins, because they seem to be PUBG Corp's preferred solution for every single misstep the company has taken. And they've taken a lot, which sounds like an understatement compared to the current situation.

Anyway, the latest round of fixes brought about severe connectivity and matchmaking issues, rendered the game unplayable for many. In response, PUBG Corp tweeted that players will be compensated for their troubles with the Black Beanie with Headphones piece of cosmetics. Which of course requires the game to work properly to enjoy but sure let's have 'em.

PUBG players will also be getting 20,000 BP, which coincidentally also requires a functional game to be put to use, a title which PUBG can boast only occasionally these days. As far as the cosmetic rewards go, all you need to do is log in to PUBG by 23 October 2018 at 5:00 pm PDT. You also may want to hurry, because at this tempo, Bluehole, PUBG Corp and will have run the game into the ground by end of 2018.

The company also revealed that this week's Event Mode: Platoon ain't happening due to the aforementioned server issues. "Event Mode: Platoon will not be returning next week, but will return at a later date", the company tweeted. Thankfully, we can all strut around with our Black Beanies and Beats-like headphones around the vast desynced expanses of PUBG.

PUBG Corp rolled out an update on their test servers recently, adding a new weapon in Skorpion and War Mode: Conquest, among other changes. Apparently, there's a guide on custom matches coming as well, even though most players would be content with the company finally fixing desync, which has reverted to the game's Alpha levels as of late.
