Pokemon Go Sinnoh region appreciation event is now live

Pokemon Go's Sinnoh region appreciation event is now live. The community is celebrating all the Pokemon originally discovered in the region. During the event, the Pokemon from Sinnoh will appear more often in the wild and in raids.

Pokemon Go's Sinnoh region appreciation event is now live - in celebration of all the Pokemon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region that you've had a chance to encounter and befriend. The event is now live and it will go on until Monday, 10 February 2020 at 10:00 p.m. local time.

During the Sinnoh appreciation event, the Pokemon originally discovered in this region will be popping up more ofter in the wild as well as in the local raids.

All 7 km Eggs you happen to obtain during this event weekend will only hatch certain Pokemon from the Sinnoh region. These include:

  • Budew
  • Combee
  • Bronzor
  • Gible
  • Riolu
  • Hippopotas
  • Mantyke

Event-specific Field Research assignments you complete will reward you with encounters with Pokemon that were originally discovered in this gorgeous region, as well as Sinnoh Stones. The luckiest of Trainers out there might even hatch a Shiny Riolu or a Shiny Hippopotas.

The Glacial, Magnetic, and Mossy Lure Modules you activate during the Sinnoh event will last one hour, and each time you open up a Gift, there's a chance could receive up to two 7 km Eggs. You can only receive the Eggs if you have space in your inventory.

Go out and have fun this weekend and keep in mind that is just around the corner. The event will coincide with the release of the new Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution on Netflix on 27 February.

To celebrate the occasion, the Armored Mewtwo will be returning to the wild of Pokemon Go, accompanied by some of the Clone Pokemon from the movie.
