Concord open beta start dates, game modes, maps, playable characters and everything you need to know

PlayStation's shooter Concord, which didn't impress with its first trailer during the most recent PlayStation State of Play, is soon entering an open beta test, which will be the first time the players will get to see if Firewalk Studios' debut title is worth buying or not.

As modern gaming practices require, the beta will be available in two phases - early access for those who have already pre-ordered Concord and the fully open beta which will come four days later. 

Concord early access beta and open beta start and end dates

  • End date: July 14

  • Start date: July 18
  • End date:  July 21

Concord beta maps and game modes

During the beta period, players will get to play on four maps including Freewater, Start Chamber, Water Hazard and Shock Risk. Check out some of the screenshots of the  maps below:

The game modes that will be available are Cargo Run, Clash Point and Trophy Hunt.

Trophy Hunt: A respawn-based mode where you fight to take down members of the rival crew and collect their bounty cards to earn points for your team. The first team to reach the target score before time runs out wins the match.

Cargo Run: A no-respawn mode where teams compete to retrieve the Blue Buddy robotic package delivery system, plant it at one of the zones, and defend it from the rival crew to win.

Clash Point: A round-based, no-respawn game mode where teams compete to control a single capture zone at a central location on the map.

Concord beta playable characters

Firewalk have stated that players will get to choose from 16 "Freegunners" during the beta. This is the total number of characters that will be available at the launch of the game so you'll get to try them all during beta.
