Nintendo have officially announced a brand new Zelda game named Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The game will serve as a prequel for Breath of the Wild and it's coming this November.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is the name of the next game set in Zelda universe. Nintendo have just announced the title with a reveal trailer and a bunch of other details about the gameplay, story, pre-orders and more.
The game will serve as a prequel for the beloved title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is set 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild and will allow players to experience the events of the Great Calamity.
Nintendo also decided to share a release date. The game is set to officially launch on November 20, 2020, for Nintendo Switch. Interestingly, Nintendo decided to team up with Koei Tecmo to develop the game.
The official description states that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will support local co-op and you'll be able to play as Link, Zelda and other characters, each with their distinct abilities. It looks like the game will shed more light on characters like Zelda, the four Champions, the King of Hyrule and others with its lore.
Those who decide to pre-order the digital version of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will receive Lucky Ladle, which is one of the weapons Link can use in the game. Not the best pre-order bonus out there but still it's better than nothing.
