Some leaks of the upcoming game The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has revealed what Nintendo did not reveal - that the game will have more playable characters in the end. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is close to release - coming to the Nintendo Switch console on September 26, 2024.
The upcoming Switch game The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has been announced as Princess Zelda's first standalone adventure in her series.
It was immediately shown how the traditional hero Link fell into another dimension in that game and that the roles were reversed this time - Zelda should save him, Link won't be saving Zelda.
However, information has now appeared that reveals what Nintendo did not want to confirm when the game was announced. And it could be considered a bit of a spoiler, so feel free to stop reading here if you don't want to spoil the surprise for yourself.
So, in the process of assigning an age rating for the game (ESRB) revealed that Link will still be a playable character in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. It is mentioned that Link will wield a sword and a bow to defeat opponents, but it is not known to what extent this action segment of the game will be represented.
The main gameplay in Echoes of Wisdom should be in summoning objects in the role of Princess Zelda. From the description, it doesn't sound like more playable characters will bring a co-op component, instead it seems like it's about taking turns controlling Zelda and Link.
