Destiny 2's February patch is now live for all platforms. The patch brought changes to the Nightfall playlist, as well as some general improvements. Both normal and Prestige Nightfall now have scoring.

Destiny 2's dev team have posted the latest patch notes for the update that went live on 27 February 2018. The patch is live for all platforms, and it brought additional options for the Nightfall playlist, as well as some general improvements.

A major change that came with the patch is that both normal and prestige difficulties for the Nightfall Strikes now score players on their performance. The scores will be determined by the number of enemy kills and orb generations. From now on, each Nightfall’s respective emblem will boast the highest set scores.

Any player whose score ends up being higher than the new target number will be rewarded with the Nightfall Aura and a fireteam Vanguard Token. The team's total score will be added up after each completed mission.

The February patch also introduced "Challenge Cards". "The Prestige Nightfall challenge card allows players to select modifiers for the Prestige Nightfall that affect gameplay and score multipliers" says the devs' post.

For example, you'll be able to select Elemental modifiers that increase your "outgoing and incoming damage". A "power handicap" will be on hand if you want to reduce your character's power level in the Prestige Nightfall. This will increase difficulty but also raise the score multiplier.

"These cards will drop for DLC owners in the normal or Prestige Nightfall" says Bungie. Emblems of Crucible, Destination and Nightfall variety have also been introduced.

Victorious Veteran is the Crucible Emblem that'll track your lifetime Crucible kills and how many of each class you’ve defeated. The emblem itself has six variants: the first three variants are class specific, the last three are unlocked after defeating 1000 of that class in PVP.

Each Destination Emblem has four variants in addition to the default emblem, and each variant has a chance to drop from chests in the destination. If it doesn't drop, you'll want to visit the respective vendors after opening 10 faction packages.

New Nightfall Emblems exist for each individual Nightfall strike and they track your high score during that strike. Three variants in addition to the default emblem are available, and they have a chance to drop when you hit a certain score tier and complete the Nightfall.
