PUBG. Corp have shared a new video in which they reveal how exactly PUBG's Anti-cheat team are tackling hackers and various in-game exploits. The team use machine learning for algorithms to further improve the anti-cheat measures.

PUBG Corp. have talked about their battles with cheaters, hackers and in-game exploits for many years now. The developer are constantly improving their anti-cheat measures and it's safe to say that, when it comes to cheating, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a different game when compared to the early access version.

PUBG's Anti-cheat team regularly releases blog posts in which they detail improvements on their anti-cheat system and measures that they are taking to permanently purge the issue. In their latest update, they shared a video, which gives us a closer, behind the scenes look at the system and how exactly the Anti-cheat team tackle cheating and unauthorised programs.

Wonha Ryu, Anti-Cheat Operation Manager says that the unit identifies suspicious player behaviour trough player reports and their own internal systems.

"When we find something, we review the related logs, obtain the hack tool or device used and start our investigation. The Analysis Team and Engineering Team analyse the hack tool and start developing a response logic, that helps combat illegal programs and identify their users, so we can impose sanctions on them," Ryu explained.

Furthermore, the team then prepares for additional attacks by using machine learning techniques, which search for similar, unusual behaviour during gameplay. Once the team finds a hacker or cheater, they issue hardware bans that revoke the access of a cheater's hardware.

Outside of the game, PUBG Corp. work with international partners to find the developers and distributors of the cheating software. The team is proud that they managed to apprehend several members of the largest hack sales organisation.

PUBG's Anti-Cheat team know that cheat developers always evolve their techniques to try and get around the security measures but with their new, real-time response program, it makes it more difficult for offenders to develop illegal programs. Hopefully, it stays that way.
