Grapeshot shared a new extended look at their upcoming Early Access title Atlas. The pirate-themed MMO looks really promising in the latest trailer and it showcases weather effects, sea and fort battles, ghost ships and treasure hunting.

If it wasn't for new Atlas gameplay trailer, we wouldn't know that so much action and features could fit in a short three-minute video. It looks like Grapeshot Games gave their best shot to show the players that Atlas is worth the additional two-day wait.

The new trailer shows a bunch of new stuff and it starts with introducing some various locations in the game's world. As seen in the trailer, players will be able to explore deserts and canyons, dense forests, rocky mountains and tropical islands with skull waterfalls. There's also a snowy region which should set a real Holiday mood as some fireworks and decorations can be spotted during the shot.

Additionally, we got a closer look at ship navigation and various types of combat. Fort attacks and sea battles will be a common thing in Atlas, it is a pirate-themed game after all. Players will have the opportunity to take on opponents from distance or up close, by boarding the enemy's ship.

During the fort attacks, we can see a group of players charging on their horses while others are gunning with cannons. Everything looks pretty chaotic and judging by the trailer, Atlas won't lack big scale battles.

Next, we got to see a triple tornado on the sea while players take on some sort of enchanted or ghost ship. It's clear that weather effects could change the course of the battle or simple sea exploration so watch out for twisters, whirlpools and storms.

Apart from that, Grapeshot games also included some treasure hunting footage. A couple of scenes show players taking on big lava boss, exploring dark caves and taking down a five-head dragon and his one-eyed cyclops companion. It looks like that Atlas won't lack mythical creatures as some of the bosses seen in the trailer are very similar to Hydra and Medusa monsters.

We also got a closer look at shipbuilding and customisation which will allow the players to create their unique galleons. If you're not convinced that Atlas will offer you enough customisation options, just check out the 2:20 mark in the trailer.

There is more new stuff in Atlas' latest gameplay video, check it out to get ready for Friday, 21 December 2018 when the pirate-themed MMO is hitting Steam's early access.
