If you pre-ordered NetherRealm's brutal fighter on Xbox One or Switch, you can start pre-loading the game now. Pre-load for PC goes live today, while PS4 players will have to wait a bit longer as the pre-load date is set for 21 April 2019.
NetherRealm Studios have confirmed the official preload dates for Mortal Kombat 11 on all platforms. The game is still four days away from its release so you'll have plenty of time to get everything in place once it unlocks on Steam and other digital platforms.
You can start pre-loading Mortal Kombat 11 right now on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. The preload for the consoles started yesterday - 18 April 2019, while PC players will get the option to download the game sometime today - 19 April 2019.
PlayStation 4 players will not be able to pre-load the game until 21 April 2019 according to the official announcement. NetherRealm did not reveal the reasons for the decision but two days before the official launch are still plenty of time to download it, to be fair.
Some players on Reddit and Twitter are reporting that on Mortal Kombat 11's page on PlayStation, the pre-load start date is set for 20 April 2019. A bit confusing but, apparently it goes live one day earlier than NetherRealm claim, which is certainly good news.
Also, Mortal Kombat 11's download size isn't scary at all and you'll get it up and running in no time. On Switch, the download size is 22.53 GB with the day one update, while other platforms should follow closely behind with just a minor increase.
