It looks like NetherRealm's upcoming fighter Mortal Kombat 11 could have 21 stages on launch, including The Pit stage. Various stages appeared in the footage we've seen so far, and we did our best to collect all of them in one list.

The eleventh instalment in the beloved Mortal Kombat series is almost upon us, and to get you ready for the release, NetherRealm have been revealing new characters and talking about the new features in the past couple of weeks.

However, the one thing we don't know yet is the official number of stages or fighting arenas that Mortal Kombat 11 will have on launch. Earlier this week, we finally got the full fighter roster that counts 25 characters, but it looks like NetherRealm are leaving the stages for the very end of their hype campaign.

As you may know, the devs revealed the majority of characters through their Kombat Kast live streams, and in these streams, we got to see some of the stages that are in the game. We made a list of these stages, and added a bit more, from other screenshots and earlier reports.

Judging by the stage selection screen, Mortal Kombat 11 will have 21 stages on launch and the list of 12 known stages is listed below.

  • Black Dragon Fight Club
  • Shang Tsung's Island Ruins
  • Special Forces Desert Command
  • Shaolin Temple Ruins
  • Goro's Lair
  • The Nethership
  • Special Forces Hangar
  • Tarkatan Kamp
  • Shao Khan's Arena
  • Kronika's Covert
  • Shinnok's Tomb
  • The Pit

As for The Pit stage, keep in mind that we did not see this particular stage in Kombat Kast streams or other promo material, but judging by the from NetherRealm's HQ, The Pit is indeed returning in Mortal Kombat 11.

Also, the names of these stages are subject to change as they are not officially confirmed yet. When compared to the previous instalment in the series, Mortal Kombat 11 could have seven more stages without the additional DLC stages.

It expected that NetherRealm add more stages through downloadable content, just like they did with Mortal Kombat X.
