Capcom have released the outline for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne update 12.01. The update is coming on 05 December 2019 and it brings tempered Ruiner Nergigante, the Tundra Region and new monster and armour.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is set to introduce a fresh batch of free content on Thursday, 05 December 2019. The update 12.01 arrives to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Capcom have detailed all the tweaks, changes and additions that players will get tomorrow. The update clocks at 2.1 GB on PlayStation 5 and 2.8 GB on Xbox One.
One of the biggest additions is the new Tundra Region in the Guiding Lands. The new area is frigid land of snow and ice, filled with different monsters to hunt. You can expect to find Monsters that are active in cold environments. Barioth and Tobi-Kadachi are just some of the creatures that you'll get to hunt in the Tundra Region. On top of this, A tempered version of Ruiner Nergigante is also coming.
Stygian Zinogre is a brand new monster and you'll also get to craft armour (image below) from Stygian Zinogre materials. "Has a symbiotic relationship with Dracophage Bugs, which it releases like bullets. Becomes even more dangerous when covered in light," it's explained in the announcement.
The Stygian Zinogre special assignment is available after finishing the main story of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, unlocking the volcanic region in the Guiding Lands, and then speaking with the Seeker in the base.
The update also brings a lot more changes and tweaks. One of them is the removal of the damage reaction from the startup of the sword & shield's Claw Uppercut. Also, the sword and shield's Claw Uppercut can now soften a monster's hide and the damage on the sword and shield's Perfect Rush has been adjusted.
