Mistfall Hunter is hitting another significant player milestone only days after its release. Developer Bellring Games announced that PvEvP Souls-like extraction game surpassed the 500,000 player mark globally.
The Steam version of Mistfall Hunter has fared a bit better critically but has managed to reach 44,472 concurrent players in the last 24 hours. It’s unclear how many players account for Mistfall Hunter’s total are Xbox Game Pass users, but Steam numbers are impressive for a game just released last week.
As players celebrate hitting half a million players, Bellring Games has announced that anyone who logs into Mistfall Hunter before September 1 will receive a gift of items.
These include 500 Soul Coins, an Ashen Cipher, an Abyssal Cipher, and a Pip’s Rare Pouch Voucher. Note that you will have three days to use your voucher once you redeem it, so don’t sleep on it.Along with the announcement of the player count, the developer confirmed that Mistfall Hunter‘s first major update will be releasing this week.
One of the exciting additions coming in the update is unlocking the Mist Lord to fight in Einherjar Mode. Doing so will allow players to tackle a higher difficulty version of the boss, rewarding them with better odds at receiving Holy Weapons and some excellent Forging Materials. The Dried Flower Knot item players will need to challenge the boss will also start dropping in-game.
Bellring Games has stated that this week’s client update will include optimizations and performance improvements to help with the game’s overall stability. The team is still monitoring and addressing issues that players have encountered since launch, so we can expect to see some more fixes detailed when patch notes are released.
Along with this, the developer noted that other fan-requested features could be on the way. These include adding Solo Mode to Mistfall Hunter down the line.
