NCSoft announced that the popular MMO, Lineage2M will launch soon on mobile devices with some pretty high-end features.
Lineage2M is coming to mobile at some point during the winter of 2021/2022. For those not familiar with it, the game is based on the world of Lineage 2 that's been around for almost two decades on PC. It is planned to launch in 29 countries with localisations for English, German, French, Spanish, Russian and Polish speakers.
Those interested in checking the game out on their phones can sign up on the official L2M website in order to have a chance at participating in the upcoming closed beta. On top of that, pre-registering for the game on iOS and Android will yield some rewards at launch but NCSoft didn't specify what they are just yet.
If you want to check the MMO on more than one platform, you will be able to do so since Lineage2M is planned to launch with Purple, NCSoft's PC cross-play service, meaning the game will be playable on PC as well. The aforementioned beta test will be conducted through Purple so it's possible the system is far into development and delays are not to be expected.
Interestingly enough, Lineage2M is apparently going to feature 3D environments in 4K resolution which is the absolute high end of mobile gaming but the devs apparently want to push the limits further with what is described as the largest mobile open world with up to 10,000 players being able to engage in large-scale battles.
