League of Legends - Champions Queue is back

The League of Legends World Championship 2022 is just around the corner, and with it, Champion's Queue is receiving incredible hype. However, Riot are making decisions that won't keep it existing for long.

Champion's Queue is a server for high-elo players in North America, organized by Riot Games , for players to be able to play League of Legends with extremely low ping, and with an assurance that there are no trolls in their games.

It seems, however, that Riot are once again  taking a good concept and ruining it with their decision-making. After all, while the players aren't trolling games, most aren't up to pro standards.

The issue was well explained by Nemesis in his latest video, where he shows multiple famous League of Legends streamers, who fulfill the requirements of joining the Champion's Queue, being denied the right.

Aside from himself, players such as Shiptur, Caedrel, KatEvolved, and many more have been denied despite them having attained a Challenger rank, or being a pro player some time in their career.

On the other hand, players that are part of an Academy of any team that qualified for the World Championship 2022 have been accepted, even though a majority of them are not even close to playing at pro levels yet, and some can even be categorized as OTP players, which is one of the things RIot list as being a deal-breaker when entering Champion's Queue.

This in turn leads to games where players like Faker have three allies on his team that may be doing their best but are inting the games due to a disparity in skill level, considering the games are supposed to reflect pro games.

In addition, the current hype of Champion's Queue is sustained by the Worlds 2022 hype, and once it's over and the major streamers don't pick the slack, which they can't as they are not allowed to play, it's doomed to fail.
