There have been leaks from famous leakers such as BigBadBear that Riot Games are making a new music line for League of Legends this year.
This is in line with what Riot Games do every year, especially before the World Championship, with the groups such as KD/A performing that Worlds' anthem.
Not too long ago images spread like wildfire of well-known rapper and musician Lil Nas X at Riot HQ. He posted multiple photos of himself and while he didn't outright say he was at Riot Games, from the background any League of Legends fan could tell that this was Riot HQ.
And, in a video published today by Riot Games, on their League of Legends Youtube channel, they have confirmed that Lil Nas X is doing the anthem for the League of Legends World Championship 2022.
The song is nowhere close to being released yet, with only a single verse given to us in the teaser.
However, the nature of said teaser is not serious at all, contrary to the Anthems we've had in the past few years, and is reminiscent of a meta-genre.
What can be heard though seems extremely catchy and we can't wait to hear the full release!
