Konami followed on today’s PlayStation State of Play presentation by delivering its own Press Start event. The publisher gave players new looks at several upcoming titles via trailers, gameplay, and more. Coverage spanned games like Silent Hill: Townfall, Castlevania: Belmont’ s Curse, Wai Wai World Craft, eFootball Kick Off!, and more.
Silent Hill: Townfall was one of the Press Start showcase’s biggest highlights. The horror series received a new trailer that highlighted its cast and creators. Earlier this year, Konami revealed that Jovan Adepo would voice and portray Simon alongside Terry O’Quinn. Kezia Burrows, who worked with Screen Burn Interactive on Observation, will also return as Lead Narrative Designer. Silent Hill: Townfall will launch on September 24.
Konami didn’t dive too deep into Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, but the October 15 release received a new trailer. This footage gave players more information about new abilities and weapons players can utilize as Rose. Viewers were also treated to glimpses of three bosses players will face that have not been shown before.
Wai Wai World Craft is a 3D platformer that allows players to craft their own levels thanks to a block-building system. Players can share their stages online and battle for the highest score. Fans of Castlevania and Contra will be happy to learn there are crossovers. Unfortunately, a release date was not announced.
eFootball Kick Off! is already out on Switch 2, but players can look forward to a new mode dropping this fall. The latest trailer highlighted Leagues, a feature players will be able to access when it launches this autumn.
Project Zircon originally launched as a Web3 initiative all the way back in 2023. Today, players got their first real look at gameplay and learned it’s a roguelike deckbuilder. Players tuck into story-heavy action and make decisions that lead to one of several endings. Project Zircon does not have a release date.
Rev. Noir was one of State of Play’s biggest announcements and one of the Press Start showcase’s titles that was shown. This action RPG is releasing on PS5, Xbox, and PC in 2027. Players take control of Asch Finé and party members, seeking to overcome Lightfall, an event that cursed people into becoming blight husks.
The final title Konami covered during its showcase was also featured during State of Play. Rhapsody in Scarlet revealed additional information about its cast and combat during its presentation. Cherami Leigh (English) and Akari Kito (Japanese) will voice Ellie Myer. Jazz performances in the game are from Soil & “Pimp” Sessions and Emi Meyer. The JRPG is set in New York City.
