S-GAME have confirmed that Phantom Blade Zero is getting a physical release. The boxed version is due sometime in 2027, so anyone wanting a disc will be waiting a while after the game’s October 29 digital launch.
The physical release comes in three versions: Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate. The Standard and Deluxe come in regular PS5 cases, with the Deluxe getting a red-themed cover. The Ultimate Edition ships in a collectable steel case. S-GAME haven’t yet said what each edition contains beyond what’s shown in the announcement image.
What it means for physical fans
For anyone who prefers physical over digital purchases, this is obviously great news, and the Ultimate Edition’s steel case will appeal to collectors who want something to display.
It also matters more than a usual disc release because of the timing. In July, Sony announced that physical disc production for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles will end in January 2028. A 2027 release puts Phantom Blade Zero’s boxed editions in the last stretch of that window, so it’s one of the last chances to own a big new PS5 game on disc.
Price and platforms
S-GAME haven’t revealed physical pricing yet. The digital Standard Edition costs $59.99 and the Deluxe costs $69.99, so expect the boxed editions to land somewhere similar, given this is a full-price AAA release. That’s an expectation rather than anything confirmed, and the Ultimate Edition will almost certainly cost more.
The physical release has only been announced for PS5 since no Xbox version of Phantom Blade Zero has been announced.
Platforms and release
Phantom Blade Zero launches digitally on October 29, 2026, on PS5 and PC.
